Whittier is a town in Alaska, an English poet, a neighborhood in Minneapolis, and now an advertising agency. Its spelling is a nod to our founding neighborhood. Its pronunciation is our promise to outsmart our client’s competitors with ideas that craft brand stories more clever and magnetic than the rest.

Whether restoring an old house, writing music, or creating a multi-media marketing campaign, Montana is driven by one thing: Creativity. Every decision is thoughtfully based on what is needed versus what is expected. His extensive design experience runs from traditional art direction, print, film, broadcast, out-of-home, events, to the complex and ever-changing landscape of digital and social media. Montana is driven by flawless execution. Which is probably why he had so much to talk about over lunch with the affable Jean Paul Gaultier while working on a campaign for his fashion brand. Or why having a hot dog with the down-to-earth Nate Berkus after a shoot in NYC was such a pinnacle moment. Or why he was trusted to travel to Italy to meet the iconic Missoni fashion family and gather visual assets for the Missoni for Target launch.
